It may seem strange to smile in the face of adversity, but there is both a science and an art to the benefits of doing so. The science is that it does actually attract more positive experiences to counterbalance the adversity, the art is that it gives you temporary control of your emotions when weak.
When you smile endorphins are released, triggered by the muscles in your face, sending messages to the brain to release these chemicals. This reduces your stress levels naturally. Even if you don’t feel like it, it helps your own well being if you do.
Simply, try smiling when things go wrong.
