If there was a stage, a theatre, The Globe as Shakespeare labelled it, there would be actors all playing parts in the story. Imagine all the actors are writing and playing out their own story, whilst holding mirrors up to the other actors. Someone holding a mirror suggests ‘delusion’ is the common theme, another says “reality”, another “gender” and another “religion”, then a big bang is heard as one mirror drops and smashes, someone says “science”. Silence is heard and all the mirrors are ignored.
Where is the director of the play out on emotion and logic? In the audience or moving lighting on the stage? Can all the actors see the parts they play in the confusion or clarity? Really they are exchanging mirrors of truth, each held at different angles, from different positions in The Globe.
